Wizards first win

Got some celebratory tunes to share with ya'll in honor of the Washington Wizards stepping their shit up tonight against Toronto. Apparently the yungins on this team did'nt get the memo about non-giving-a-fuck. My man Jan Veseley had a sweet dunk, a few steals, and looked overall pretty solid. Booker and Singleton continued to solidify themselves as the hardest working duo on a team full of guys that do just the opposite. And yet our main man John Wall still leaves something to be desired... hopefully this will be remedied soon.

Anyway, here at the Factor, we turn the speakers up when things are goin well. So here are some random tunes that I've been feelin. Hopefully the Wiz can get it done in Chi-town (crazier shit has happened) and I'll follow up with a part 2.

Been playin this song nonstop since I found it. Gotta credit Aquarium Drunkard with hookin it up on this one (seriously making a strong case for my favorite music blog right now, they always got the rare vinyl cuts in mp3 form, you will learn so much from reading their shit). Gotta find this album, so dope.

I feel like this this guy doesn't get anywhere near the respect he deserves. Maybe because most people are too fucking add these days to listen to songs that are usually 9+ minutes. The Field has become one of my favorite electronic producers in recent memory, thanks to his original and open-minded approach to the genre. His tracks blend ambient, disco, techno, and a multitude of other genres to create a sound wholly his own. The music sounds repetitive at first, but it slowly develops into some amazingly flushed out melodies. Anyway this shit goes hard, great running music too.

This song deserves to be played in some 80+ degree weather with scorchin sunlight, and a slightly sleepy buzz goin round people's heads. Unfortunately we don't have that outside right now (the buzz is your call), but this joint has the desired effect nonetheless. Seriously underrated band, they keep it simple, and I love it. Can't wait to hear more from these guys.

Danny Brown has songs with better beats, and ones that he flows better on. But this is without a doubt his REALEST song. Like the entire album of xxx, the music can sound grating and difficult to listen at first. But if you care about hip-hop at all (or just real shit in general) you should stick with it, because this guy is on another level that everyone else. His verses around the 2:00 mark seriously give me goose bumps every time. I love that hip-hop can still be weird as fuck, keep it up DB.
